Over the years I have pondered the issue of our association future with several old boys. More recently in Townsville I caught up with David Anderson and Keith Hall. Both were of the view we should continue as we are. With both 107 and 108 having fairly strong Bty Associations and 106 Bty in pretty good hands with Johno’s web site that only leaves the HQ Btys as the key people in out old boys association. We have about 7 grand in the bank account and if a few extra pay their annual subs that would cover the cost of postage and printing for this newsletter. These days, just about everyone is on the internet and gets mail via email. I plan on sending this to all old boys who I have an email address for and I’ll send out a hard copy to the rest. Another question – do I just send it out to those who have paid their subs or to everyone on the mailing list? My thoughts are that only those who have paid get a copy because those who haven’t might not want this newsletter. Newsletter, that’s the point! Without input from you the members, what do I put in the newsletter? With thanks to all the contributors to this issue, but what else do you want to hear about? I get copies of the RAA Liaison Letter and several other newsletters but do I forward them on and to who? Do you want to be kept up to date with current happenings in the RAA or would you rather just keep in touch with other members and be informed on what they are up to these days?
