UBIQUE From Les Cooper (with his annual subs to Gabby) Dear Gabby, I trust 2011 will be a good year you and yours in every respect. Age 80 yrs is fast approaching and we are well aware of it, ie, more tablets than chocolates each day however I maintain my fitness by walking fast and limb exercises. I exercise the throat muscles by consuming beer and wine each day at evening meal time (my favourite exercise for the day.) All the best, Les 01 Feb 11. Latest on the National ‘Coral’ Gunner Dinner – Saturday 14 th May 2011. This is only the third National Gunner Dinner held since the opening of the RAA National Memorial on Mount Pleasant in 1977. The Regimental Committee has agreed that national Gunner dinners will be held on a more frequent but still ad hoc basis. It agreed the dinner will be known as the National 'Coral' Gunner Dinner to commemorate the Gunner contribution to the Battle of Coral in 1968 and that it should be held in May on the Saturday nearest the 13th May to mark the anniversary of the attack on 102nd (Coral) Field Battery in 1968. Holding the national dinner in May also ensures that it does not clash with dates for State
