Each afternoon a short history is given about a serviceman/woman who was killed in war and whose name is on the Honour Roll. I went to the website www.awm.gov.au and then to the link Last Post Ceremony. It is live screened every afternoon at 4.55pm. I found it quite moving and I recommend that you take 5mins to to view it. What the AWM is trying to negotiate with the RSL`s that they take it each afternoon. Some of you may already know about it but I thought you might be interested. 8888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888 Here’s a little something that Kerry Boyce sent in: For those of us who served in Vietnam! The military said the Saturday night toast was being updated to "reflect cultural changes" in the Navy, which has long included female sailors. The practice of toasting "our wives and sweethearts' - occasionally followed with bawdy "May they never meet!"-has long been part of naval culture". 88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888 I don't know how many photos there are, there's a swag of them some will certainly jog your memory.
