From Al Thompson in Mackay I had a letter from Al Thompson in Mackay a while back now. He is now retired but still leads a very active life and is or has been involved in many organisations. The photo shows him as drummer in Mavis Brands Band. Mavis is 91! He has been playing in the band for over 13 years and in various bands for over 50 years. Al is always happy for anyone to call in and say g’day. If you are up near Mackay, let me know and I will give you Al’s number.
