ANZAC Day Activities Hilton Lenard advises: The BLACK Sheep is parading in Seymour on Anzac Day. The next day (Friday 26 April) we are touring the School of Artillery and Tank Museum. Any 4 Fd Regt Old Boys and partners in the area are welcome to join us for either. To obtain pre-approval for entry into Puckapunyal Military Area, I will need Drivers Licence and Vehicle Registration details of all planning to enter PMA with our Rammer group by the Saturday prior (Easter Saturday). On Sunday 28 April, most Rammers are relocating to Cowes to visit the National Vietnam Veteran's Museum on Phillip Island on Monday 29 April. Denis Moore advises: Those who march in Sydney gather afterwards at the Coronation Hotel. Anyone who has not marched under the 4 Field banner recently or supped at the Coronation would be most welcome. The camaraderie in Sydney is always strong. Tim Ford advises: Great job you do in many ways! I’ll be on the NSW central coast for Anzac Day and giving the address at Macmasters Beach surf club service at 5 pm. Best wishes to you and all. Cheers Tim. Ron Thorpe advises: Neville Galbraith and Ron Thorp in Brisbane for March and 105 Bty boat trip after. Kevin Salter advises: Hi Peter - I am a very lucky old boy. Dave Troedel/spouse, Ken Murphy/spouse are travelling to my area for the above. My sub (Kawana waters rsl subbranch) has a dawn service at our war memorial at Buddina (suburb some 10 k ’s nth of Caloundra), starts at 0558 hrs, fin around 0630, the supporters club o f the Kawana waters surf life saving club puts on a low cost brekky/bar is open. At 1030 attendees are asked to gather at the memorial, a short march of vets & school children starts at 1045 near the surf club, marchers go some 300 to 400 metres along a sea front road & finishes at the memorial. 1100 hrs a gen eral service is conducted, with a guest speaker then a wreath laying segment. I t lasts some 45 mins. The supporters club then opens for a bar service & the cl ub’s bistro opens for meals, it also puts on a low cost BBQ. 2 up is conducted in the afternoon (with monies donated to legacy), bar remains open but bistro c loses 3-5 then re-opens for dinner. All guests are welcome. Old boy, John butler was also coming but has had a tummy cancer scare for which he spent time in hospital so I have assume he will prob not come but will go local in Toowoomba where he li ves. best wishes to you & yours - Kev Salter.
