September 2019 - bit concerned with one week touring Kenya, with terrorists ( Al-Shabab) from Somalia crossing the border and attacking Nairobi and killing hundreds of locals. Still single - never been married - close a few times - no women is going to spend my hard earned money - as they say in the classics. Regards to you and the Misses. John Kinsella For those not connected with John on Facebook, he has been having one hell of a battle. Here is his story so far in his own words. John Kinsela Cancer Survivor. In October 2018 walking up a flight of stairs at Blacktown Station I had trouble breathing, it was the first time I have been breathless for such a small exertion, this worried me so I went to see the Doctor he gave me a chest X-ray, I was told I had fluid on the lung and to report to Blacktown hospital straight away, after two days in the emergency department they found me a bed in the respiratory ward. They put a chest drain in my left side chest, they then started to drain it periodically for the Two and a half weeks I was there. They drained 1.7 litres of fluid all up, after the first X-Ray they discovered a mass in my left lung. This led to many X-Rays, MRI, Cat scan and a Pet scan, they discovered I had a sarcoma in the left lung they described it as being unique. They sent me to Westmead hospital for a Biopsy I was informed that it was cancerous, on leaving the hospital I was told that I would get 5 weeks radiation which was to commence after 2 weeks, the radiation was to shrink the sarcoma followed by an operation to remove it. After one week I was called in to Blacktown Hospital to see the Oncologist, the news was not good, he said the sarcoma was too big to remove and they did not want to operate, the best they could do was 2 weeks radiation to maybe slow it down and sent me to see the palliative support nurse to get my things in order. Not happy with Blacktown hospital we asked for a second opinion, this was with a Thoracic Surgeon Dr Mathew Bayfield at Camperdown Medical centre. His diagnosis was-Because of the radiation and my Lymph nodes being highlighted he wouldn’t operate, it was like being handed a death sentence. A good friend of the family for 53 years a Psychiatrist, she was not happy with the outcome of the last consultation, so she rang the Chris O’Brien Life house Cancer centre at Camperdown, they replied straight away and I had an interview on Friday 11th January with a Professor Hong and Professor Grimison. Things started to happen, I was sent to the Kinghorn Cancer centre at Darlinghurst to see if they had any treatment, they work with the Garvin Institute to develop cures for Cancer. My ongoing breathing problems landed me back in Blacktown Hospital for another 5 days, I thought the fluid had returned; after an Ultra sound they could not find enough fluid so they gave me a CT scan and the Doctor said the sarcoma was getting bigger. Return visit to the Chris O’Brien Cancer centre the Oncologist said the sarcoma needs come out, there
