4 Field Regiment (SVN) 'Old Boys' Newsletter - June 2021 Edition

This was followed soon after by our 61 st anniversary celebrations: a parade involving Feu De Joi and the 1812 Overture followed by battery functions. The old boys, including the 4 TH Field Regiment (SVN) Old Boys, were treated to a display of the new weapons and kit the following day that was topped off by a Cocktail Evening in the corporate space of the Cowboy's new stadium. Exercise Chau Pha 21 was the first field exercise of the year, due to COVID restrictions on training. It was a tough ex, especially for the many soldiers who have marched in since the last field ex, particularly those who deployed straight to the field upon marching in! The guns practiced direct fire and Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact (overs and unders for those who remember). There is some great footage of the gunners firing on the unit's Facebook page.
