It is believed that the original ‘A’ Bastard Card was introduced by ‘A’ Field Battery, Battery Funds, in the late 80’s to encourage a military kinship like no other. The ‘A’ Bastard Card that was produced at the time would be definitely inappropriate for today’s military and society moral philosophy standards and values. As a Veteran association we cannot and do not accept, condone or promote such profanities. 

The ‘A’ Association Executive Committee wanted to reintroduce a completely new adjective and sanitised version of the ‘A’ Bastard Card. This is to help encourage and promote an uptake/increase in past and present military personnel that had served or are serving under the ‘A’ to become an ‘A’ Association Life Member. This at the same time enhancing ‘A’ Life Member event participation and comradeship.

“The ‘A’ Magnificent Bastard (AMB) is someone who is all about pretentious knowledge. They have been everywhere, they are about displaying their high-spirited behaviour, mischievousness and self-indulgence, from dad-jokes to salty memes. They learn and they share a philosophic oil in conversation, while wanting to display their 
Gunner shenanigans. 

To find a Magnificent Bastard in the wild, you will need to ask someone, "How do you be SEMPER PARATUS?" 

‘A’ Magnificent Bastard will reply: "With Magnificence!"
Your Life Membership is highly valued and greatly appreciated. Without your support the ‘A’ Association canot and will not exist.  The 'A' Association is your Association that promotes fellowship and camaraderie between current and ex-serving Defencemembers to engage, respect and connect. The ‘A’ association is working hard to keep you in touch with the current Royal Regiment of the Australian Artillery status quo and to maintain your personal lineage to the 'A'.

The 'A' Association truly thanks you for supporting the 'A' Battery Association Inc and we look forward to your future support and involvement in the 'A' Association.   Please do not hesitate to contact the 'A' Association if you have any queries on the  operations, mission and intent of the 'A ' Association.

To cut a long story short, YES!. There are noted spelling errors on the ‘A’ BASTARD CARD, so let the banter begin.
Is it part of that colloquial Gunner sarcasm and hysteria antics, or a topic about Gunner edumication?
A gun number seven could never give an accurate count of their bombs on the gun platform.
