Lets be honest, we have
all done it! Attending that annual function, or
an ANZAC day, a reunion or simply bumping into someone
somewhere. Standing around or seated having a
quiet one you lean over to your mate and say "see that
bloke over there - what's his name? I know his
face but I cannot remember his name for the life of me".
Then for the next hour or so you site there looking through
the crowd at this familiar face trying to remember where you
know him from. Then out of the blue an instance
of pure intelligence, you say to yourself "Macca/Jonsey/Stevo
or whatever" and the name is remembered or at least the
nick name. Then comes the hard part - I knew him
back in ??? I think.
Frustration now settling in, the mind working overtime, you
finally get off your ass and go over and re-introduce
yourself and the rest is history, so to say.
Then the thought passes through your mind "I
knew I knew him just couldn't put a name with the face it's
been so (oh so) many years since I last seen him.
Note, if you look hard you can still see the boy/young man
in most of the after photos.
