The Australian Artillery Association is in a long term process of creating a digital logo bank.  The artistic and technical capability of Mr Alex Young who joins us as a Graphic Artist enables us to revisit all current and past logos that have not been digitised and to re-create, update and produce an Adobe Illustrator (Ai) file from which can be produced high resolution JPG, PNG and PDF images.  

Additionally the Ai file enables us to manipulate the image to temporarily alter the image by way of inclusion or deletion of any part of the image, the changing of colours to accommodate the support of a special cause etc.   The Ai file is particularly important for merchandising purposes whereby a high resolution PDF image is created for use by the manufacturer thereby ensuring a crisp and clear image of any size being available for use.    Together we are recovering all logos with a view to ensuring that high resolution copies of them are available to all Regiments, Batteries and Associations. 

Further the Australian Artillery Association will be recommending to the Regimental Committee that they create a digital bank where digital copies of all mediums currently in use be retained for current and future use and for historical purposes, when one day, the Regiment may wish to look back and utilise images, documents, photographs etc.
